Math Stars 5.5.1...
...is a completely new version of our popular shareware program which has received over 500 registrations and appeared on numerous CD-ROM's and shareware compilations. Version 5.5 for both Mac and Windows adds a practice module which will track each student's progress in the mastering of math facts. The game module of version 5.5 continues to include 5 math games: Math Stars, Math Detective, Math Slider, Math Squares and Math Challenge. Students who answer all questions in a round within the allotted time earn a gold star in the Player Screen. After earning 10 gold stars, a student's name is placed in the Hall of Fame. Students may compete against the computer or head-to-head. A handicap option allows adults to compete with younger students. Version 5 will speak the problems in the Math Stars game.
User selectable options include: time limit per question, number of problems, random or fixed numbers, allow negatives, vertical or horizontal display, and highest number allowed. Users can continue to select addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division functions or, in version 5.5, determine which of those functions will be randomly selected by the computer.
Math Stars is designed so that students of various ability levels can practice addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts in a fun and challenging way.
