Using the application on a network (LAN)
Note: This feature is available only with a site license.
QuizMaker Pro and Spelling Depot
Place the application on a network server where each client computer on which the software will be used has both read AND write privileges. Each client should launch the network instance of the program. All scores will be saved to the server location where they can be viewed by the administrator.
Note: It is important to set an administrative password when the application is used on a network.
Math Stars Plus
Each client computer will need to have an instance of the application loaded on it.
The administrator may, however, place a single Preference File on a server and tell each installed instance of Math Stars Plus to refer to that file. In this way, changes such as Highest Fact Counted will be reflected on all computers in the network.
To set:
- Click the Browse button.
- Locate the directory(folder) on the server where the file is to be stored.
- Click Select.
The Use Alt Location button will be selected and a copy of the current Preferences will be written to this location. Each client computer will need to have this preference set once.
